Your Coach

Coach Joanne Duncanson

Coach Joanne Duncanson believes youth running should feel like play — with games, challenges, and a lot of encouragement woven into every practice. With over 10 years of coaching middle and high school cross country and track and field, she's built a coaching style focused on teaching solid running skills in a fun, low-pressure atmosphere where kids build fitness, confidence, and a genuine love of the sport.

Joanne is a USATF Cross Country Specialist–certified coach and is CPR, First Aid, and US SafeSport certified, so every practice is both engaging and safe. She also brings 35 years of experience as a sports medicine physical therapist to her coaching — giving her a sharp eye for helping young runners move well and stay healthy as they grow into the sport.

Above all, Coach Duncanson's goal is simple: help every runner leave practice smiling, a little stronger, and excited to come back for the next one.

Coach Joanne also offers one-on-one Running Performance Evaluations & Coaching for runners looking for individualized feedback and gait analysis.
